Hello fellow Supra owners!
Yes, its finally become time for an update on the European Supra Meet #01. This name will be the official one for the meet.
Details about the meet:
Date: 20-24th of July 2006
Location: Innsbruck, Austria
Details about location:
http://www.campinginnsbruck.com/home_uk.htmPrice: 0 Euro’s (read below)
We have decided not to organize any special meals. I’m sure we can organize a huge barbecue together if we want to. Each bringing his own supplies. The camping site offered us help organizing a huge barbecue should we feel the need for that.
The price is not very high. 5,40 EUR pr. Night pr. Person Cars 3,40 EUR, Tent 3.20 Euro which makes a combined price of around 13 EUR pr. Night pr. Car +5.40 EUR pr. Person extra.
The price includes hot showers. Read more on their website.
All in all the plan is to gather all the supra’s possible, drink a lot of beer, and get to know new people. We might consider some kind of concour, but we haven’t decided yet as we don’t really have any idea of who is coming and who is not coming. There will be no entry registration for the meet. So basicly you come to the campsite and participate or you don’t. We demand no fees, you pay the campsite yourself. This saves us a lot of hazzle and complicated money management.
The program looks like this so far. (we can plan some sightseeing trips if that has interest, so far it’s a only temporary program. )
Thursday, July 20th:
08.00-18.00 Arrival
18.00-??.?? Eating, drinking, supra talk.
Friday, July 21th
Whole day, Eating, drinking and supra talk.

Sunday, July 23rd
Whole day, Eating, drinking and supra talk. (Depending on the weather: Fotoshoot)

FÀ¼rthermore, Does anyone know if there is a Dyno near Innsbruck? If anyone has any knowledge about this please send a mail to
bestyrelsen@supraklubdanmark.dk Reguarding the traffic at the meet. Some German stats start their holidays during those days. That means the highway thru germany to Italy might be blocked. For that reason it might be smart to take alternative routes. Here is what a german Supra owner told us (Thanks to Goorooj for the advice)
Traffic Warning
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
that weekend the holidays begin in a few states of germany, so especially the motorways to munich and from munich to innsbruck ( which is the shortest way to italy ) could be ( will be... ) jammed.
you should advise to look for alternative routes ( like A7 all the way down from denmark and near FÀ¼ssen / garmisch into austria or via switzerland for drivers from belgium or france ).
